Helen Rice - Chief Executive

Helen has been in her position for 9 years. Helen is currently the chair of the Migrant Resource Centre nationally and Chair of the Grace Eyre Foundation and was chair of Community Action Southwark for three years, and chair of the leading national women’s sector charity WRC for 4 years. Most recently Helen has become a fellow of the RSA and has joined the board of Worthing Homes. Helen is sessional lecturer at Birkbeck University in undergraduate and postgraduate studies of VCS management and has advised parliamentarians and think-tanks on issues relating to poverty, VCS insurance, workforce, governance and community regeneration. Holding numerous business development positions within national infrastructure charities and key roles with funders, academic institutions and at the Charity Commission Helen has a wealth of cross-sector experience as a leader, consultant and trainer over the past 20 years. Holding a graduate degree in Sociology and post-graduate qualifications in business management Helen also advises the University of Liverpool on their charity law research and most recently developed a legal service for community organisations and charities across the UK.
