Dr Alexandra is Professor of Law at Brunel University London. After practising in Athens Law Bar, Alexandra chose the academic path in the UK. She is one of the leading scholars on minority rights and cultural rights in international law. She has close links with non-governmental organisations and has worked closely with the United Nations on issues related to her work. She has advised several states and has given keynote speeches, including in London, Kuala Lumpur, Finland and Pretoria. She leads human rights modules at Brunel university, is also member of the Oxford Human Rights faculty and gives training courses to civil servants, minority leaders and activists. For the past two years, Alexandra is leading the Athens Refugee Project, where Brunel law students work with refugee adults and children in Athens.
